Top 5 Expected iPhone 5 Features

Innovative, minimalistic, sleek and user friendly. These are just the few qualities that have propelled Apple’s iPhone series years ahead of their competition.

iPhones are not only advanced tech crammed into a small package, in recent years it has become more of a fashion statement, due it’s eye catching white or black simple design, and it’s sexy curves.

Which brings us to number five on the “Top 5 Expected iPhone 5 Features“;

1. Bigger Screen / Ergonomic design

3.7 inch? 4, perhaps? iPhone 4 boasted a 3.5 inch screen which is big, but not big enough according to a percentage of user’s feedback. There are other smart-phones out there that have bigger screens, although lacking the touch-sensitivity that the iPhone has. Many expect the iPhone 5 to include a bigger, full HD, or 3D (it’s not highly impossible), screen that still keeps it’s ultra-sensitive touch that users feel is incomparable to other LCD touch-screen phones.

Another thing that users felt was a let down was iPhone 4′s shape. It had hard edges, making it non-ergonomic.

Some users compared it to holding a small brick up to one’s face when on the phone. A smoother, softer design would make the iPhone 5 more ergonomic and comfortable to use, which is why this is a highly expected design improvement.

2. Full HD 1080P video recording / Full HDMI output

iPhone 4 was rigged with an HD camera. This is a highly expected feature and is very likely to happen due to the fact that HD video cams are being churned out by rival companies with more compact designs recently. Incorporating the technology into the iPhone 5 is not at all far-fetched.

The perfect feature to pair up with a full HD video, is full HDMI output. What would be more awesome than to plug the iPhone 5 into a 50 inch plasma and watch a video of your cat drinking from the sink, in full HD greatness.

3. Improved Battery Life

Previous iPhones were plagued with sub-par battery longevity. Activities like surfing the web using the 3G network, playing graphic intensive games, and even listening to music are quite noticeably huge drainers of battery life. Improvements in this area is very much expected upon Apple by it’s customers.

4. 4G Connectivity

The only downside to the inclusion of this feature, is that many countries are not ready for its implementation of this network, although there is time for more countries to catch up. 4g connectivity means faster download speeds, video streaming and not mention web browsing.

Negatives aside, many have voiced their enthusiasm when it comes to the inclusion of 4g / LTE support for the iPhone 5.

5. Improved RAM / A5 Processor

512Mb of RAM was crammed into the iPhone 4. iPhone 5 should have at least 1Gb crammed into it. More RAM equals more ability to multitask and run more background apps. This would be a welcomed improvement bar none.

The A5 processor was showcased in the recent iPad 2 launch. Many expect it to make a comeback and be included in the iPhone 5. Although don’t be surprised if by the time it is released, Apple has made an even better processor (A6, anyone?).
