PocketFuelCal – Fuel Surcharge Calculator App Released Today

Trucking Advantage, LLC today is pleased to introduce PocketFuelCal 1.0for iOS, their new fuel surcharge calculator for transportation industry professionals and business travelers around the world. PocketFuelCal has a custom user interface designed to resemble a vintage gas pump, is loaded with 37 currencies, and can be set to calculate with mpg, km/L, or L/100km. Another convenient feature is the in-app web view, bookmarked to the U.S. Department of Energy weekly fuel price index, which can also be pre-set to any web page of the user’s choice.

Drivers of heavy duty equipment are typically affected the most by fuel price increases. The Department of Energy projects that on-highway diesel fuel retail prices in the U.S. will increase 6.1% in 2011, with refining margins also increasing due to growing global product demand and shutdowns of excess global refining capacity.
