Another day, and another iPhone 5 related leak.
This time, it is a photo supposedly taken inside one of Apple’s factories in China. Men in white suits and face masks can be seen, apparently building touch screens for the new iPhone 5. Sources indicated that this particular photo was taken at the Wintek factory, in China.
The photo is quite low-res, and at first glance seem uninteresting, but after closer inspection, more can be deduced on how the iPhone 5 will be like.
Further inspection bolsters the recent “case schematic” leak that supports the notion of an elongated, bigger, home button. As you can see in the image, a hole at the bottom of the frame can be seen, with a rectangular shape.
Another source indicates that the thinner sides means that the rumors of an “edge to edge” design can also be checked on the confirmed list.
So what have we learned from the leak? Elongated home button, check. 4 inch edge to edge screen design, check.
Don’t get too excited though, the photo isn’t CONFIRMED to be from the Wintek factory, which is where iPhone 4 screens are being made. For all we know, the picture could be a distorted photo of the iPhone 4 screen being made.
Let us reserve our judgment until October 7th then, shall we?
